Project Approach & Project Team

Each project is treated as another opportunity to build upon the dependable reputation that M&R Construction Group has strived to develop over the last two decades. To achieve this, our project management team becomes involved during the planning stages of projects and stays involved until the completion of construction. This ensures continuity between the preconstruction and construction phases so that decisions made during the planning stages are properly implemented in the field. This seamless flow allows us to build and improve projects for our clients in a way that exceeds their expectations.

At M&R Construction Group, we understand thorough planning is a critical step to running a successful project. Because each project is unique and each client has differing goals, we customize our pre-mobilization activities to reflect the specific needs of each project. Following the Contract award, some of our typical activities include working closely with the Owner to establish a project timeline, review project specifications to identify long lead items, assemble subcontractors and begin project coordination, prepare detailed construction PM schedules, complete site safety planning, and execution, gathering MSDS sheets and submittals, perform phasing analysis, and assessing permit and utility coordination.

Our construction team has decades of experience. Your building project will benefit from their collective approach and the drive to hold each other accountable for delivering technical excellence and client satisfaction. Your construction management team has intuitive problem solvers with insight based on building experience and training. Our construction management team will take the initiative to understand your project objectives, collaborate with your team, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure affordability without sacrificing superior workmanship.

Areas We Manage

  • Buildability Examination - Review of project design to offer potential scope & construction alternatives.
  • Value Engineering - To ensure that the client's cost & schedule requirements are met for the project, our team will be engaged in value engineering from the very beginning of the project. We will analyze the building's functions & our efforts will be focused on presenting the best construction options to your design & engineering team. Our team will ensure that design quality, aesthetics & utility are not compromised during this process.
  • Budgeting - We will perform the budgeting of the project in different stages, starting from creating a conceptual image to a final budget. To achieve efficient cost control at later stages, the construction plan linked to the budget will be used to provide cash flow estimates during the construction lifecycle of the project.
  • Procurement - With more than 150 subcontractors on our bidders list, & a well-respected relationship with them makes procurement a seamless process for us. Our procurement process consists of bidder list preparation, pre-qualification of contractors based on project scope, bid package assembly, bid review & sub-contractor vetting, bid Review & sub- contractor vetting, and awarding of contracts. We tailor-make our procurement strategy for each project to suit the needs of the client & project.
  • Project monitoring and audits - Regular monitoring will be maintained, as well as subcontractor audits, to control the quality and cost of every facet of the project.
  • Subcontractor quality control - Monitoring and maintaining the accountability of all subcontractors to ensure workmanship quality as well as maintaining the timeline project.
  • Inspection & Accountability of construction processes - Proper safety checks by our internal staff, as well as outside vendors, to ensure the safety of every aspect of the project.
