287 Broadway, Manhattan
This historical building is located at 287 Broadway, on the corner of Broadway and Reade Street near City Hall in the Tribeca neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. Originally completed in 1872, the 12,000 square foot building features an architectural mix of Italianate and French Second Empire style and was designated a city landmark in 1989.
While preserving the building’s historical character and structural stability, in 2013 the M&R Construction Group and Landmark Preservation team renovated and converted the space to create a ground-floor retail space and high-end residential rental lofts on the upper floors. After the year-long demolition and interior and exterior renovation, the six-story building now features nine total units, four of which are residential.
