Senior Construction Estimator Job Requirements:

  • Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex estimating problems
  • Prepare cost reports and presents findings to design and client teams
  • Design Bid Build
  • Provide support in price negotiations. Perform related costs estimating and budgeting functions
  • Oversee preparation of independent cost estimates (ICE) for submitted change order proposals
  • Provide cost support during Value Engineering Studies and design charts
  • Perform conceptual estimating by establishing a project’s cost, before any graphical representation of a facility has been developed
  • Performance Management – Sets clear expectations & direction for staff; achieves team results consistently; coaches staff to improve; is a positive role model
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting cost to assigned contract or program
  • Participate in advanced cost, schedule, contracts performance, variance and risk analysis for assigned contract or program
  • Quality & Safety – Adheres to all safety & security policies and regulations; demonstrates quality work that is accurate, thorough & efficient
  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future performance
  • Establish database for pertinent information for use in analyzing financial reporting
  • Responsible for the success of the development and preparation of large, complex proposals for the organization
  • Assist in staff development, business development and client management
  • Confer with local procurement manager, sales person and/ or operations on project cost and risk to assist in sourcing strategy development and execution
  • Provide assistance to Proposal Coordinators in cross checking of errors in the EBS templates
  • Provides coordination and liaison with project management and project engineering personnel throughout the estimate development
  • Work closely with Purchasing to create a standard cost development system and to evaluate current and future inventory levels
  • Perform quantity surveying on assigned disciplines – specific to self-performed scope of work
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a senior role
  • Industry References Required
  • Experience in Software Programs: Procore, Timberline, Sage 300

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $125,000.00 to $150,000.00/year
